WHO WE ARE
Blown Away Adventures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2018 with one simple belief: every child deserves to feel celebrated.
For many families, birthdays are not filled with cake and candles. They are filled with difficult choices. Rent or groceries. Gas or utilities. Celebration or survival.
Too often, celebration is the first thing sacrificed.
We exist to restore joy in moments where hardship has taken its place.
WHAT WE DO
Through our Bountiful Gifts Program, we partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Mesquite to host quarterly birthday celebrations for children celebrating birthdays throughout the quarter.
During each celebration, children enjoy an afternoon filled with games, prizes, gifts, cupcakes, snacks, drinks, and plenty of fun as they celebrate alongside their peers. The celebration space is transformed with festive decorations and birthday-themed touches to create a memorable experience for every child.
In 2019, we launched The Birthday Surprise Box Program, which provided personalized birthday boxes filled with gifts and birthday goodies that were delivered directly to families' homes. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are thoughtfully evaluating The Birthday Surprise Box Program to ensure its future impact aligns with the needs of the children and families we serve.
At Blown Away Adventures, we believe every child deserves a reason to smile on their birthday. Whether through a gift, a game, a cupcake, or a room full of people singing "Happy Birthday," our goal is to create joyful memories that remind children they are worth celebrating.
